NUNUNGAN, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--Governor Imelda "Angging" Quibranza-Dimaporo said the construction of Torogan house in Nunungan Lake will uphold Maranao culture.

Dimaporo shared that she is delighted that a Torogan will be constructed as its significance has been forgotten by the people of Lanao provinces.

"I am delighted for this opportunity [construction of Torogan] to show our tradition and uphold our rich culture," she said.

According to the governor, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Torogan shows that they have bounced back despite the enormous challenges posed by the pandemic.

Dimaporo said Nunungan is positioned as a premier tourist destination in the province. With this, she called on the cooperation and unity of the residents to protect and maintain Nunungan Lake.
