TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--In partnership with Smart Communications Inc., the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte turned over LTE pocket wifis to 30 selected schools in the province.
Governor Imelda "Angging" Quibranza-Dimaporo, along with former Provincial Administrator Sittie Aminah Quibranza Dimaporo turned over the said pocket wifis to Rose Marie Macesar, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS), and Maria Eva Edon, Chief Education Program Supervisor.
"Now that some of the schools are opening face-to-face classes, it is still important for educators to have access to stable internet connection. We made sure to choose the remote areas with signal to be our recipients," Aminah Dimaporo said.
Governor Dimaporo thanked SMART Communications for the timely and significant donations given last January 27 and never failed to remind all DepEd personnel of the importance of vaccination against COVID-19.
"We will make sure that these gadgets will be put into good use, strictly work-related only. As of March one, there are a total of 5,746 teaching and non-teaching staff, and 5,571 or 96.97% are now fully vaccinated," said Macesar.
The turnover was held at the Arsenio A Quibranza Building lobby, Provincial Capitol, Pigcarangan, Tubod, March 11. (PIO-LDN/PIA-10/Lanao del Norte)
