KOLAMBUGAN, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--Some 14 whirlwind-hit families in Barangay Rebucon, Kolambugan, received aid from the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, March 1.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), distributed one box of non-food items, 10 kilos of rice, pot, pan, and a dozen of canned goods.
"Nahitabo ning ipo-ipo atong February 25. Tungod sa gikusgon, nga partially damaged ni ilang mga balay (This whirlwind happened on February 25. Due to its strength, their houses were partially damaged)," said Nestor Bacalso, Brgy. Rebucon chairperson.
Residents expressed their thanks to the provincial government for the assistance that they received. Since Barangay Rebucon is situated along the coastal area, it is susceptible to storms and hurricanes.
"Ang mga balay, mapanday rana balik. Pasalamat lang mi nga walay injuries or caualties sa mga residente
