ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – Close to 1,000 jobs are available at the two-day Career and Job Fair of the Alumni and Career Center of the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) and Public Employment Service Office at the MSU-IIT Gymnasium.
The said job fair is part of MSU-IIT’s activities for the graduating students. The job fair is not just open for the graduating students but also the alumni and other job seekers.
During the opening ceremony of the Job Fair on June 29, Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan said that the job fair was open to the public since they believe that opportunity should be accessible to as many individuals as possible.
“This is our way of making sure that the impact of our career center is not only confined to our constituents but also to the community,” he said.
About 16 establishments in the private sector joined in the event. The available positions are contact/customer service representative, staff nurse, ESL teacher, conductors, drivers, under chassis mechanic, and technical support representative.
Albert Araco, a graduating student of Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program in MSU-IIT conveyed gratitude for the opportunity given to them.
The job fair was made possible in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment as part of its employment facilitation activities. (LELA/PIA-10-Lanao del Norte)
