ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--In support to the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Lanao del Norte 1st District Representative Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo said he will be lobbying for the needed equipment of the military.

Dimaporo seeks to provide more support for the military not just in military equipment but also through infrastructure projects.

"In terms of physical projects, we're also looking at different ways na we can partner with our Battalions, not only the Brigade... yung mga kailangan nila [their needs], multipurpose halls, barracks, admin offices," said Dimaporo.

Dimaporo said the land where infrastructures be built must be owned by the government.

“Ang medyo tricky dyan is when they don't own the property, yan ang medyo mahirap. DPWH won't allow us to build projects on private property. It must be owned by the government,” he said.

With Dimaporo’s Congressional Initiative, the new two-story administration building of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry "Magbalantay" Brigade of the Philippine Army was built. He led the ribbon cutting of the new building and unveiling of the marker together with the Philippine Army’s Armor Division's Assistant Division Commander BGen. Facundo Palafox IV.
