TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) – With the theme 'KooPinas: Nagkakaisang Lakas Para sa Makabuluhan at Sama-samang Pag-unlad, the Provincial Cooperative Office of Lanao del Norte held its Culmination Activity for the celebration of the Annual Cooperative Month on Nov. 3.  

Various activities were also lined-up during the culmination program such as the Cooperative Hymn Chorale contest, raffle draw of home items and performance of winners of the TikTokoop dance contest. 

Provincial Cooperative Officer Minda Regis said that the Culmination Program for Cooperative Month highlights the significance of cooperatives in the province.

“Ang purpose ani is, gawas nga nag-join ta sa pagcelebrate sa Cooperative Month, amo pod gitagaan ug significance ang mga cooperative, nga importante sila nga sector sa atong probinsya. Mao naa tay Culmination Program para i-recognize kung kinsa ang achievers nga cooperatives sa Lanao del Norte,” she said. 

[The purpose of this is, apart from joining in celebrating Cooperative Month, we also give significance to the cooperatives, which are an important sector in our province. We have the Culmination Program to recognize the cooperatives that are achievers in Lanao del Norte.]

To promote the viability and success of cooperatives, the provincial government also awarded 10 cooperatives that received P100,000 each through the Initiative for Quality Development (IQD) awards.  Meanwhile, another 20 cooperatives received P100,000 each through the Cooperative Livelihood Assistance Program of the provincial government which is funded under the 20% Development Fund.
