TUBOD, Lanao del Norte--The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) celebrated the first anniversary of its satellite office here on February 17, 2022.
It has been a year since the GSIS opened a satellite office in the province, where members, pensioners, and customers no longer have to travel to neighboring cities to process their transactions and avail essential services.
With the initiative of Governor Imelda 'Angging' Quibranza-Dimaporo and the support of GSIS Branch Manager Alexis D. Arumpac and staff, the service desk was opened on February 2021 and continues to cater to the residents amid the pandemic every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month.
"Maygani kay naa na diri sa Tubod ang GSIS, dili nami mangadto sa Iligan para sa among transactions. Very convenient gyud," Cleofe Vergeire, a 64-year old nurse, and soon to be retiree from RHU Kolambugan, said.
(Fortunately, GSIS is already here in Tubod, and we no longer have to travel to Iligan for our transactions. It's very convenient.) (PIO-LDN)
