ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Social Security System (SSS) Iligan Branch Head Cheryl V. Jariol said in a press conference that the Run After Contributions Evaders (RACE) campaign does not subject the employers to public scrutiny but reminds them of their legal obligations.
“The RACE is to increase awareness of their legal obligations and comply with guidance of the account officer. This is not to subject them to public scrutiny, ato sila tabangan nga masettle ang ilang [we will assist them in settling their] delinquency,” she said.
SSS Iligan Branch visited 10 business establishments in the City to remind them of their legal obligations. Jariol said they will monitor their progress if they have complied 15 days after their visit.
“Ang RACE program, going extra mile for the benefit of both clientele, sa employer and employees. Program ni sa branches going the extra mile, advocacy nga malamdagan ang employers kung unsa ang ilang obligasyon,” said Lawyer Virgilio Galarrita, Jr. of Mindanao North Legal Department.
