ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Social Security System (SSS) Iligan Branch Head Cheryl V. Jariol said in a press conference for the Run After Contributions Evaders (RACE) campaign here, that there are 2,968 intermittently paying employers in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur.

“Our area of jurisdiction includes Iligan City, Marawi City, Lanao del Norte and Lanao del Sur. And we have more than 3,000 employers. We have 2,968 intermittently paying employers, bali delinquent na sila, 142 non paying employers, 709 regularly paying employers,” Jariol said.

During the Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign on August 9, SSS Iligan Branch conducted visits to 10 business establishments in the city affecting 84 employees.

The most common violations committed by the employers are non-registration with the SSS, non-reporting, and non-remittance of contributions. 

SSS Iligan reminds the delinquent employers to coordinate with their account officers to settle their legal obligations and may avail the Pandemic Relief and Restructuring Program wherein they may pay within nine to 60 months depending on the total amount of their obligation.
