ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Under the Universal Health Care concept, the Department of Health-10 (DOH) committed to providing technical assistance and limited logistics support to the newly-constructed Infirmary Building of the 2nd Mechanized Infantry (Magbalantay) Brigade.
DOH-10 Regional Director Dr. Jose Llacuna Jr. said they will provide basic equipment and tools such as a stethoscope, blood pressure apparatus, and dressing for wounds, among others.
Llacuna also said that the facility can also cater to residents in the neighboring barangays.
"Ang primary nila dinhi nga patients are the uniformed personnel, but to a certain extent they will be part of the community services provided by the Philippine Army to the neighboring barangays where these camps are located," he said.

Magbalantay Brigade Commander BGen. Rey Alemania said that they also sought support from the 1st Infantry Division and the Headquarters of the Philippine Army for the needed equipment.
When functional, the building can also cater to the soldiers of nearby brigades and battalions such as the 103rd Infantry Brigade in Marawi and 55th Engineer Brigade in Balo-i, Lanao del Norte. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
