By Lou Ellen Antonio

SAPAD, Lanao del Norte (PIA) – The Philippine Councilors League-Lanao del Norte (PCL-LDN) Chapter turned over an electric water pump to Inudaran Elementary School in Sapad town, July 15.

As face-to-face classes start in August, the project will be a big help for teachers and students to sanitize their hands as protection against COVID-19.

"Gamay ra kini nga pondo pero daghan na ang natabangan sa PCL - Lanao del Norte para sa katawhan. Gamay nalang ang pondo sa PCL, and my term is about to end. Imbes na magparty or maglaag-laag ang mga PCL officials, among gihimo ug proyekto nga potable water system para sa eskwelahan sa Brgy. Inudaran," said PCL LDN Chapter Gilbert Lacida Jr.

[While PCL - Lanao del Norte has a small fund, it has already helped a lot of people. The PCL has a small fund, and my term is about to end. Instead of partying or traveling, we, the PCL officials, came up with a potable water system project for a school in Brgy. Inudaran.]

Meanwhile, Pacita Tumog, school principal of Inudaran Elementary School, conveyed gratitude for the potable water system project.

"Dako kaayo ang amo kalipay na nakadawat mi sa maong project kay arong face-to-face classes sa August, learners will not be allowed to enter the school without washing their hands," she said.

[We are very happy that we received this project because the face-to-face classes will start in August. Learners will not be allowed to enter the school without washing their hands.]

During the onset of the pandemic, the PCL LDN distributed hygiene kits and alcohols through their Oplan Tabang alcohol activity and provided a computer set and printer with printing materials at Nunungan school. (LELA/PIA-10-Lanao del Norte)
