Llacuna calls on parents to get their kids vaccinated

ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--As the government intensified its efforts on the vaccination against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) here, Department of Health (DOH) Region 10 Director Jose encouraged the parents of children aged 5 to 11 to support the Resbakuna Kids campaign.

“Among awhag gikan sa DOH, na kita magkahiusa, magtinabangay ug magtimbayungay para mahimong malamposon ang Resbakuna activity” he said.

[We, in DOH, encourage you, to work together to make the vaccination activity a success.]

Llacuna underscored the significance of getting vaccinated as it gives protection against the disease especially when the person follows the BIDA Solusyon such as wearing face masks, sanitizing hands, practicing social/physical distancing, and knowing the right information.

The director also thanked the members of the Philippine Pediatric Society for being with them in the vaccination campaign assuring the parents that the vaccines for the children are safe and effective.

“Among pasalamat sa members of Philippine Pediatric Society, atong mga specialist on pediatric care nga uban usab sila sa kampanya nato. Sa mga ginikanan, nag assure kanato kung unsa ka safe og effective ang vaccine nato karon,” he said. 

[We thank the members of the Philippine Pediatric Society, our specialists on pediatric care for joining our campaign. To the parents, they assure us how safe and effective our vaccine is.] 

The local government of Iligan with the support of the DOH recently launched Resbakuna Kids campaign at the Adventist Medical Center. Another rollout will take place at the Robinsons Place Iligan on Feb. 18. (LELA/PIA Iligan)
