TUBOD, Lanao del Norte (PIA)--The Tourism Operations Division under the Provincial Governor's Office oriented the tourism enterprises and tourism-related establishments owners with the necessary knowledge on the COVID-19 five-level alert system.
"The alert level system has been long implemented nationwide. We wanted to capacitate our tourism stakeholders and encourage them to operate safely, following health protocols," Provincial Tourism Officer Alarma Grace Montañez said. (PIO-LDN)
The Province of Lanao del Norte said that this initiative is necessary to make all the tourism operators in the province well-informed, especially now that the province is already in Alert Level 2 and more people are visiting establishments and tourist sites because most of the travel restrictions are now lifted.
Present during the event to facilitate the discussions on the updates of the COVID-19 status and in-depth understanding of the Provincial Ordinance 02-2022 were the new Incident Management Team-COVID19 Incident Commander Eugenie Pusing, Provincial Legal Officer Atty Mark Christopher Babor, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Marujeta Isabel Opamen, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member and Committee on Tourism Achmad Taha, and the Provincial Tourism staff.
