ILIGAN CITY (PIA)--Committed to providing support and assistance to the children here, some private organizations joined the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery.

As part of its Disease Treatment and Prevention area of focus, the Rotary Club Uptown Iligan provided snacks to the children who were circumcised during the said caravan.

“It is our opportunity nga makaserve mi sa mga katawhan in a little way. Labi na nga nakaserve mi sa mga kabatan-unan. That's the beauty of Rotary, within our area of focus, daghan na kaayo mig natabangan labi na diri sa dakbayan sa Iligan,” said Rotary Club Uptown Iligan president Froilan Escalante.

Escalante also said that their support is anchored to their theme dubbed “Serve to save lives.

Meanwhile, Rotary Club Uptown Iligan’s Past President Nominee Designate (PND) and Chairperson of Disease Treatment and Prevention Mary Ann S. Nacion thanked the Iligan City Police Station 1 for providing them the opportunity to be part of the caravan. 

Other organizations that provided support are 18th Avenue Pharmacy, Lourdex Trading. Adventist Medical Center, Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association, Tapok Iligan, and Noy's Lechon Belly. (LELA/PIA Lanao del Norte)
