ILIGAN CITY (PIA) – Parents in Barangay Pugaan here extended their gratitude for bringing government services closer to them through the “Duterte Legacy: BARANGAYanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery.

Fifty children in the hinterland barangay benefited from the free haircut services and free circumcision of Iligan City Police Station (ICPS) 1. They also received medicines from the City Health Office and food packs and snacks from Rotary Club of Uptown Iligan, City Station 1 Advisory Council, 18th Avenue Pharmacy and Lourdex Trading.

Mariel Capangpanga of Purok 3 said the assistance provided to them is helpful, especially with the pandemic.

“Dako kaayo siya og tabang sa amoa nga isig-ginikanan sa ilang gipahigayon karon nga libreng tuli alang sa mga kabataan labi na karon nga nasinati nato nga pandemya,” she said.

[This has been a huge help to our fellow parents for the free circumcision for the children especially now that we are experiencing a pandemic.]

Meanwhile, Jackiemer Suaring is thankful since his child is finally circumcised as it was not accessible last year.

“Last year pa unta namo ipatuli among anak pero pandemic man gud. Dako kaayo ni ug tabang sa atoang mga kaigsuonan diri sa Barangay Pugaan,” said Suaring.

[Last year, we were supposed to have our son circumcised but there is a pandemic. This is a great help to our brothers and sisters here in Barangay Pugaan.]

Other partners for the said event include Adventist Medical Center, Tapok Iligan, Alpha Phi Omega Alumni Association, and Noy's Lechon Belly. (LELA/PIA Lanao del Norte)
