ILIGAN CITY (PIA) –-The Department of Energy (DOE) urged gasoline station operators and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) dealers here to ensure good quality products for their consumers.

This, after the Local Price Coordinating Council, conducted a joint inspection of five gasoline stations and three LPG stores.

Alpres Russel Bustillo, Senior Science Research Specialist of the Department of Energy, reminded the oil companies, gasoline station operators, and LPG dealers to provide fair services to their consumers by ensuring good quality products and proper quantity of selling.

“Gina-encourage nako tanang oil companies nga unta sakto jud ang quantity, as well as ang quality nga ilang ginahatag sa mga gasolina og LPG nga ilang ginahatag sa ilang consumers,” he said.

[I encourage all oil companies to provide the right quantity, as well as the quality of LPG fuels that they provide to their consumers.]

Bustillo also reminded them that when there are violations, DOE will impose fines and penalties by issuing them an inspection report and showing a cost order which must be submitted within 10 days. Violators will also have to create corrective measures as well as their explanation on why they committed such a violation. (LELA/ PIA Lanao del Norte)
